One of the requirements of All-Points-Addressable printing is the ability to reprint pages that are destroyed during the insertion phase or that have been damaged or lost after printing. The PRO Reprint and Recovery software module selects pages, ranges of pages, or sub-documents from a print file for printing. Beginning with version 3.5, PRO Reprint is available as an Adobe Acrobat Professional plug-in. PRO Reprint can also be used to suppress the printing of user selected subdocuments
Reprints can be output to a different type of printer than the original printer. This can allow low volume reprint requests to be printed on the best device for that purpose instead of a device that is optimal for high volume printing. When used in combination with PRO Indexer, selection of pages to be printed is accomplished very quickly and efficiently. An intuitive GUI is available.
PRO Reprint and Recovery can be plugged into any of the PRO suite of transform products. Only one pass at a print stream is required to select the pages and transform the file. This means that clients will save a significant amount of time in addition to simplifying their operational procedures.
