The Crawford Technologies PRO WorkFlow Server product makes it easy for clients to dynamically control their printing process. Often organizations, whether big or small, need to route documents such as statements, invoices or reports to multiple and different printers or distribution systems. By utilizing the PRO WorkFlow Server, clients can automate their printing production process without having to change existing workflow and operating environments.
The PRO WorkFlow Server incorporates an automated Watch Directory design that controls the transformation execution while concurrently routing the print stream data to the designated printer. Support is provided for multiple printers and environments utilizing special integration requirements such as printer start commands. This type "Load Balancing" permits clients to concurrently network their print and data delivery applications.
PRO WorkFlow Server is always active. Once an input file is recognized by the Watch Directory then it performs the requested file transformation. Upon completing that process the PRO WorkFlow Server automatically routes the converted file to the appropriate printer, file, or FTP server. There can be an unlimited number of Watch Folders. Each Watch Folder can have its own job processing operations that apply to all files processed from that folder.
The PRO WorkFlow Server provides integration flexibility. PRO WorkFlow Server can facilitate web loading. For example, a Xerox Metacode mainframe file can be transformed to PDF and automatically routed to a website for immediate access worldwide.
Additionally, the PRO WorkFlow Server can run on many Xerox print controllers.
For example, LCDS or Metacode files can be sent from a host to a controller where they are automatically converted to PostScript and then routed to any number of printers.
