PRO Meta Normalization

PRO Meta Normalization provides a valuable tool that allows high-volume Xerox printer users to optimize and enhance Xerox LCDS and Metacode print streams for printing, reprinting or viewing. PRO Meta Normalization interprets Xerox LCDS and Metacode print streams and resources and transforms them into standard Normalized Xerox Metacode files.

The format and content of Normalized Metacode files can be defined by the user. This provides a myriad of possible uses such us:

• Print files can be optimized for fast printing or viewing
• Print files can be configured for ONLINE printing for use with bus & tag and TCP/IP attached printers
• Print files can be configured for OFFLINE printing for outsourcing, disaster recovery or other purposes
• Specific pages can be easily accessed for viewing or printing
• Specific pages can be selected for reprint purposes
• File size can be reduced
• Resource management can be automated
• Print files can be easily split into subdocuments such as customer statements
• Print data is retained in a standard printable format
• DJDE and RSTACK formats are customized to match customer standards
• Print files can be converted from OFFLINE to ONLINE format or vice versa
• Page conversion rate is very fast, up to 37,000 pages per minute*

PRO Meta Normalization provides an automated Resource Management capability that allows PRO Meta Normalization to determine which Xerox resources are required and puts into the normalized output files. PRO Meta Normalization allows printer resources to be managed on a host system or on a LAN instead of on printers. This simplifies resource management and facilitates disaster recovery planning.

PRO Meta Normalization contains support for an extensive array of Xerox print resources including FNT, LGO, IMG, FRM, JSL, PDE, CME and JDE.

PRO Meta Normalization can be used with the PRO Document Enhancer option to enhance the Normalized Metacode files. PRO Document Enhancer allows users to add, modify and suppress objects on pages, such us text, OMR marks, barcodes and control numbers, as well as slip-sheets.
