Happy New Year! Welcome to the New Year’s edition of the Crawford Courier. We hope you all had a great holiday season. As you may have noticed we have a new format for the New Year, and we hope you like it. In this issue, we are covering a diverse range of topics and we think there is something for everyone. We hope you find something of interest to you. As always, if you have suggestions please contact us and let us know how we can make this publication more relevant to you.
We have a lot of exciting new announcements this year. The big news for our customers is that our
PRO Suite Version 4.0 has been released. It has over 200 enhancements, performance improvements and fixes in it. If you want to know more about it, you can attend our
upcoming webinar and hear all about it.
This month we are also pleased to announce
PRO Viewer, a universal print stream viewer, which allows users to view print files in AFP, PCL, Xerox Metacode/LCDS and PDF. Based on our PRO Transform technology, it can be used by print application developers, support staff and end-users to look at print files. If you want to know more about it, you can attend our
upcoming webinar and hear all about it.
Our Archive Management Solutions division has had a fantastic start. After one year, almost one third of the EMC Archive Services for Reports (ASR) customers have moved up to PRO Archiver. We are a Gold sponsor of the upcoming AIIM Conference on March 20-22 in San Francisco (see
http://www.aiimconference.com for more information). If you are going to be there, come by and see us to learn more about PRO Archiver.
We are a Platinum sponsor of Xplor this year. We will be at the Xplor Conference and Vendor Forum in Tampa Bay March 27-29. Dave Hook and I will be speaking in several informative sessions covering various topics. We will also be sponsoring the Beach Bash on the Wednesday evening, so if you are at the Conference come out for dinner and drinks on us. See
http://www.xplor.org/Xplor2012 for registration information.
One issue which is front and center this year with any organizations doing business in Ontario, Canada is the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). Certain provisions of this new law came into effect on January 1; these new provisions require organizations to provide their customers and employees with access to accessible documents in alternative formats such as Braille and Large Print. Fortunately, we are able to provide assistance in achieving compliance with this legislation. For more information, see our article on
AODA printing.
On a personal note, we have a new member of the Crawford Family. Jamie and I are now the proud parents of a new daughter, born December 15, 2011. Mother and daughter are both doing fine. We are all thrilled!
I hope you enjoy this issue. And keep your eyes open for more announcements coming from us over the next few months. This is going to be an exciting year for us.
