PRO AFP to PDF dynamically converts AFP documents to PDF files without costly upstream application changes. PRO AFP to PDF allows our clients to move AFP print applications to
the Web and to archival/retrieval environments inexpensively and without disrupting existing processes and systems.
Superior font management is the key to delivering a successful print conversion product. PRO AFP to PDF
provides the utmost ease of use for font utilization. Standard AFP fonts are automatically mapped to standard
Acrobat fonts for display in any PDF reader. Even custom AFP fonts are automatically converted to PDF fonts. PRO AFP to PDF has the flexibility to
map fonts to either standard PostScript/PDF Type 1 fonts or embedded Type 1 fonts for a clean look.
PRO AFP to PDF allows PDF overlays to emulate pre-printed form stock. This allows easy creation of watermarks and lets
the full power of PDF be utilized within legacy applications. This approach can be used to add full color
graphics, web site links, java scripts and much more.
With PRO AFP to PDF any data in the print file can be used in Bookmarks and automatically organized into
multiple levels for easy navigation. Index rules can be set up allowing indexing on multiple criteria.
PRO AFP to
PDF uses object-to-object transformation rather than object-to-bitmap transforms. This approach produces a
PDF file optimized (including compression of all resources) for printing.
PRO AFP to PDF can also be used by Web-based applications to convert AFP files to PDF that are dynamically at
retrieval time.
The high-speed transformation performance of PRO AFP to PDF permits this dynamic conversion. This form of Web implementation saves significant data storage costs and costly batch transformation processing time.
