The person or organization requesting a payment creates a QR Code that contains the billing information and a link to PayPal. The person/entity that wishes to pay that amount (payee) scans the code, is directed to the paypal website, authenticates themselves and authorizes the payment.
In Taiwan, a chain of convenience stores across the country started offering high speed rail ticketing services recently, enabling passengers to buy or pick up tickets outside train stations in mere minutes. The convenience store's ticketing system hopes to cash in on the ticket buying habits of high speed rail passengers. According to THSRC research, 70 percent of its customers buy tickets earlier on the same day that they travel.
Using these QR codes, passengers will be able to book tickets for trains departing from one hour to 15 days after the purchase is made for an extra service charge. in the ticketing system, and the tickets passengers get at its stores will have upgraded anti-forgery safety measures and QR code numbers.
In addition, the TSA has approved QR codes for electronic airline

codes are provided to download for display on their phone. For access, patrons simply use the phone to display the code to a scanner, instead of having to remember a paper ticket or boarding pass.
