Crawford Technologies Shares How to Leverage its Document Accessibility Solutions for Equal Access to Information at CSUN Assistive Technology Conference

March 6, 2019, Toronto, ON – Crawford Technologies, provider of innovative document solutions that streamline, improve and manage customer communications, announces it will be exhibiting and speaking at the 2019 CSUN Assistive Technology Conference, the world’s largest event dedicated to technology and disabilities. The 34th annual event, presented by California State University, Northridge’s Center on Disabilities, will be held March 11-15 at the Anaheim Marriott in Anaheim, CA. In Booth #515, Crawford Technologies will showcase its industry-leading document accessibility solutions that make documents inclusive and meet regulations.

Highlighted in the booth will be Auto Tagger for Accessibility and AccessibilityNow.com. Auto Tagger for Accessibility is Crawford Technologies’ award-winning solution that automates the process of creating accessible documents. Auto Tagger for Accessibility automatically tags and converts documents into print-ready Accessible PDF (WCAG 2.0 and PDF/UA) or Accessible HTML5, ensuring compliance with global regulations. AccessibilityNow.com is Crawford Technologies’ e-commerce site with an intuitive design that leverages Auto Tagger for Accessibility to quickly and cost-effectively convert PDFs into accessible documents. The user-friendly website allows users to immediately receive a price quote and tag documents at unprecedented speeds—up to hundreds of pages per second.

Crawford Technologies will also be hosting valuable educational sessions and demonstrations throughout the event in the La Jolla Meeting Room, providing attendees designer demonstrations, learning sessions about eliminating roadblocks to document accessibility, discussions of document accessibility in the ECM space and in the education industry, and more.

Additionally, Crawford Technologies will be hosting two educational sessions at the conference:

  • E-Commerce for Document Accessibility will be presented on Thursday, March 14 at 8:00 a.m. in LAW-04. Scott Baker, executive VP of business development at Crawford Technologies, will share with attendees how an e-commerce website built on a solution that automates tagging and conversion simplifies the conversion of traditional PDFs to Accessible PDF.
  • Leveraging Technology to Create Accessible Documents will be presented on Thursday, March 14 at 3:20 p.m. in Grand GH. Dennis Quon, EDP, director, Document Accessibility Solutions at Crawford Technologies, will explain why documents delivered or accessed electronically must now be accessible. He will also discuss the three ways to remediate manual, auto tagging and templates—and which one is the best method.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to speak and exhibit at the CSUN Assistive Technology Conference again this year,” said Dennis Quon. “Documents can be made inclusive and accessible by leveraging technology solutions that make it possible to reduce cost, meet compliance requirements, and provide a way to meet a company’s document requirements for scalable accessibility.”
