Spring is here and it is an incredibly exciting and busy time for Crawford Technologies.

We will be at a number of upcoming trade shows and events (click here for full events listing), including the Xplor International User Conference and Vendor Forum in St. Pete Beach, Florida from April 16-18.

At this year’s Xplor conference, we will be demonstrating two groundbreaking new products we have just released that are changing the face of our industry, ‘PRO Transform Plus for PDF/UA’ and ‘PRO Designer for Operations Express’.

‘PRO Transform Plus for PDF/UA’ is the world’s first automated PDF/UA creation software that allows organizations across the globe to more easily communicate with their visually-impaired customers.

‘PRO Designer for Operations Express’ is the most powerful and flexible document re-engineering GUI available on the market. PRO Designer allows our Operations Express users the option of using the new GUI or having the flexibility of using text-editing software when designing transform, indexing or document re-engineering application setups for print files and PDF files.

Next up is the Document Strategies Forum in Old Greenwich from April 29th-May 1st. During this conference we will Reveal the Future of Document Strategy and Management during the Crawford Technologies Vendor Showcase on the exhibition floor Tuesday, April 30th from 3:30-4:00 p.m. During the exhibition hours we will also be showing Enterprise Output Management and Archive Management Solutions in booth #208. If you are attending, be sure to stop by.

We will also be at EMC World in Las Vegas from May 6-9th and networking and introducing customers and partners to our newest employee, Tim Nelms, Business Development and Alliance Manager of Archive Products, EMEA.

Tim was formerly at EMC where he was strategic alliance manager responsible for the Fujitsu and Computer Sciences Corporation. Before that Tim was the business development manager responsible for the EMC Documentum ASR business and was the EMEA principal for Acartus before their acquisition by EMC in 2005. Tim is a twenty-year veteran of the IT industry and EMEA and his roles have covered everything from software engineering and consulting to pre-sales, marketing and sales. Tim is well versed in the enterprise software market and partner ecosystems and continues to take a keen interest in software platforms.

In addition to Tim, we are proud to announce the hiring of four new people, who bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the CrawfordTech team.

Justin Barota is our new Senior Systems Architect. Justin brings 25 years of experience designing and developing outstanding, innovative technical architectures. Justin also has extensive executive management experience and has overseen many complex local and international projects. He brings a vast knowledge of enterprise infrastructure and advanced location-based technologies around predictive analytics and business intelligence.

Kevin Tondreau is our new Manager of Professional Services. Kevin has been working in the document industry since 1985 and has a degree in Business Management. He has worked in print and e-presentment, as a software engineer for Fidelity (helping to create an output management software platform using Flexserver- aka OPServer) and managed services teams for Pitney Bowes in output management and intelligent inserting management.

Greg Sgro is our new Manager of Software Development. Greg is a certified Project Management Professional with 25 years of experience in all facets of software solution and product development with expertise in software development life cycle methodologies such as CMM, Six Sigma, Lean, Agile and ISO 9000. His early years were spent as a software development practitioner, subsequently progressing into leadership roles in software development, project, team, people and best practices Management. Greg has spent the bulk of his career with notable companies such as Johnson Controls, Xenos Group and Equifax and more recently with Dundas Data Visualization and QuickPlay Media.

Dr. Michael Field is our new Product Marketing Manager. Michael is a graduate of Cornell University and has a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Maine. Michael has 25 years of experience with Pitney Bowes in roles ranging from Physicist to Director, Architecture and Systems Design to Director, Systems Marketing. For the past 9 years, Michael worked in technical and marketing roles at Oce Business Services finishing as Director of Product Management. While there, he worked with many technology areas including ECM, Output Management, Managed Print Services, inbound Digital Mail, Records Management and Imaging systems.

We are very excited to have such amazing new talent on the CrawfordTech Team.
